Hand crimping tools

AC-ACT series

See Product

The AC and ACT series tools are manual (AC) and bench-type (AC-T) crimping pliers fed with compressed air that perform crimping of loose pre-insulated ferrules. The tip is inserted manually on the wire already stripped: the set of rod and thread is inserted into the clamp in the seat corresponding to the right section and finally seamed.
The AC series includes hand-operated portable models.
The AC-T series includes pedal-operated bench models.

Cable Cutting

See Product

Cutting a cable is the first of a series of coordinated operations involved in making an electrical connection. Cable cutters come in different designs for cables of different shapes, materials and diameters. Applications range from cutting thin fine-wire conductors, to precise right-angled cutting of ribbon cables, to cutting large diameter power supply cables.
Cables must be cut cleanly, without requiring great effort. This is provided by precision-ground, hardened blades with special geometry.
Cable shears are not suitable for cutting wire cables or steel wire. Only sturdy wire cable shears with a reinforced cutting head should be used for cutting fine conductor cables with strain-relief, or cables with steel casings.

Cable Stripping

See Product

A high quality conductive connection requires the proper removal of the cable sheath and careful stripping of the various conductors. The cable sheath can be removed quickly and cleanly using a suitable desheathing tool.
The individual conductors must be stripped cleanly, to the correct length and without damage in the contact area. Pliers designed for this purpose come in two basic types:
Stripping pliers with profile blades are designed for one or more defined conductor diameters. The cutting holes provide clean and safe stripping of the cross-section for which they were designed.

Crimping Tools

Crimp connections have replaced soldered connections in most applications. Crimps are mechanically stable and corrosion-resistant.
They can be done the same every time, resist aging, and offer excellent, long-lasting electrical connections.
However, to do so crimps must be made correctly. The wire, contact, and crimp tool all need to fit.
Basic quality requirements for crimp connections are defined in standards such as DIN EN 60352-2, IEC 512 and DIN EN 60999-1.
In addition, manufacturers often have detailed requirements for the many wires and connectors on the market, which necessitate the right crimp tool.

Fiber Optic

See Product

Polymer fibre optic (POF) cable is used for short-distance applications requiring high strength, such as in automobiles and local networks, while glass fibre is used for high transmission quality across long distances, for example in telecommunications networks.
Multimedia devices are connected by plugs. Good transmission quality and low damping require clean, correct work with fibre optic cable.

That means:
· Precision end cuts (cutting without polishing)
· Non-damaging insulation stripping to exact lengths
· Exact positioning of crimp connections for cables and insulation
· Safe opening of fibre bundles without damaging individual fibres

Photovoltaics

The installation of a photovoltaic system is an investment for several decades, whose return depends very much on the quality of the installation work. Long-term resistance to extreme weather, and the efficiency of the wiring and connections, are major factors in the performance of a solar array. All individual solar panels need to be properly connected, meaning short wire routing to minimize conduction losses, and good connections.
To help installers do this, we offer a wide selection of tools, singly and in kits, that enable professional work with solar connector systems and which are subject to continuous further development. Our system solutions give professionals a comprehensive, high-performance, up-gradable toolkit for installing and maintaining today‘s and tomorrow‘s photovoltaic systems.
